Where could I work?

Shifts are available with health and community providers across the Auckland region.

You could be deployed to:

  • Community-based COVID-19 testing centres
  • Quarantine and isolation facilities
  • Community providers (non-government organisations)
  • Age related residential care
  • Care and support for vulnerable people
  • Auckland, Waitematā or Counties Manukau district health boards

What skills and qualifications are you looking for?

We urgently need registered nurses and doctors with current practicing certificates.

We are also want to hear from:

  • Nurses and doctors without practicing certificates
  • Allied Health workers
  • Orderlies and cleaners
  • Security workers, particularly with airport clearance
  • Nursing and medicine students, particularly final year students

Will I be paid?

Yes. We operate an outsourced payroll and employment function with a contracted recruitment provider.

Pay arrangements may depend on where and how you work now. 

I am working in a health setting; can I work additional shifts?

There may be restrictions around working in more than one clinical or community setting at a time; this will be confirmed with you during the deployment process.

Will I need to travel for work?

New Zealand is now at Alert Level 2 so there are no limits on travel within the region. We will make every effort to deploye you to somewhere in your home district.

What if I am retired or don’t have a practicing certificate (APC)?

Nurses with lapsed practicing certificates can be granted a temporary one. Please contact your professional registration body for details and to apply.

I have registered online, what happens next?

Following registration, you may be contacted when a vacancy arises. We may also ask for your consent to conduct a pre-employment background check - there is no charge for this. This will check your right to work in New Zealand (immigration status), Police clearance and two references. This will be conducted by our partner CVCheck (external link)
